Meet Our Instructors!


Professor Angela Slate is ISAIC’s Lead Instructor teaching FISP. She has a background in apparel design and marketing that has allowed her to travel around the world to work with major brand names and designers such as Willi Smith and Pelle Pelle!
Angela Johnson is an award-winning, eco-friendly clothing designer and advocate for Arizona's fashion industry. She co-founded AZ's fashion incubator FABRIC and is known for creating upcycled ball gowns from thrifted T-shirts under her brand, Angela Johnson Design.

Lectra

(In Person at ISAIC)- Learn the basics of Lectra's computer aided design software for pattern design. Participants will learn the basics of the AccuMark software, this is not pattern design training. Pattern design experience is a prerequisite.

DigitPen

(In Person at ISAIC)- The Digitpen is used to create a digital copy of a garment or pattern that can then be altered via CAD. The training will be focused on using the Digitpen to digitize a paper pattern. (As we only have one, this might need to be smaller classes or staggered.)
